Dear: Brothers and Sisters
On Jul 16,2010. It was suggested by the Executive Board to fill in the Secretary position. We decided to appoint Brian Covington; we also decided not to fill the position of 1st Vice President. We are looking forward to fill the member at large position in accordance with the TWU constitution.
In summary; we want to improve the communication with the membership. Examples by e-mail, we issue e-mail to all shop steward in DFW and LAX other ways to communicated flyers, Web side and by label the union bulletin boards. The Executive Board also addresses the importance of the President to be assessable at the airport. I will be available at least twice a week. Since our Local union submitted a grievance concerning CSOFF-VC. We are fixing to settle the grievance by add a side letter to the allow our member to CSOFF-VC .
New uniforms Question and Answer
Q- Are we allowed to wear the AE T-shirts?
A- Yes, it will be add on the uniform forms.
Q- Small uniform size for woman?
A- The company will use another bender to provided small sizes.
Q-Does part time employees will receive the same allowance as full time employees?
A- Yes, 5 pants, 5 shirts and 2 hats.
Q-Are they planning to issue a light color of shits?
A-The company and the union will made that decision, probably at the next President council meeting.
Q-Are going to receive more Polo-shits or T-shirts allowances?
A-That item will be discuss at the President council meeting.
Any other question or concerns fell free to call any of the board members.
